- Authentication Data: When you sign in via Google, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture URL. This is handled securely through Supabase Authentication.
- Prompt Text: When you click the "Optimize" button, the text currently in your prompt input field is sent to our servers for processing.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Extension Settings: We store your configuration (e.g., Supabase URL, API preferences) locally in your browser using
chrome.storage.
- Usage Metrics: We track the number of optimizations performed per user ID to enforce usage limits and improve service performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
- Service Provision: To optimize your prompts using AI models.
- Account Management: To identify you as a user and manage your account.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and resolve technical issues.
- Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns (anonymously) to improve the quality of prompt optimizations.
3. Data Handling and Processing
When you optimize a prompt:
- The text is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our Supabase Edge Functions.
- The data is then forwarded to the Google Gemini API for the sole purpose of generating an optimized version.
- The optimized text is returned to you. We do not retain the content of your prompts in our permanent databases after the optimization is completed.
4. Information Sharing and Third Parties
To provide our services, we share specific data with the following trusted third-party providers. We ensure these parties comply with strict data protection standards:
- Google Cloud / Gemini API: We share your prompt text with Google's AI services to perform the optimization. Google's privacy policy governs their use of this data.
- Supabase: Our backend infrastructure provider. They host our database and handle user authentication (Google Sign-In).
We do not share your data with any other third parties, except if required by law to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Personal Data: Your account information (email, name) is stored in our Supabase database for as long as your account exists.
- Usage Logs: We keep records of service usage to ensure continuity and prevent abuse.
- Local Data: Settings stored in
chrome.storage remain on your device until the extension is uninstalled or data is cleared.
